Hz Musa (s.a.v) Hem Yahudilik ve Hıristiyanlığa hem de İslâm’a göre büyük bir peygamber ve İsrâiloğulları’nı Firavun’un zulmünden kurtarıp hürriyete kavuşturan bir liderdir Hz. Musa (a.s.) Mısır’da doğdu. Hz. Musa (a.s.) Yakup Aleyhisselam’ın neslindendir.
Annesinin adı İmran’dır. Harun (a:s) kardeştir. Hz. Musa (a.s.) Allah indinde çok hayâlı, şerefli ve kıymetli bir peygamberdir Hz. Musa’nın (a.s.) adı Kuran’da Ülü’l-azm (en yüksek derecedeki) peygamberlerin üçüncüsüdür.
Kendisine dört kutsal kitaptan biri olan Tevrat verildi. Musa (A:S) Allah ile konuşması sebebiyle “Kelîmullâh” dendi. Mısır hükümdarı Firavun gördüğü bir rüya ile tüm erkek çocuklarının öldürülmesini istedi. Musa (a.s)ın annesi İmrân, onu bir sandık içerisinde Nil nehrine bıraktı.Bu sandık Firavun’un sarayına gitti ve Firavun’un hanımı Asiye bu çocuğa sahip çıktı.
Firavun’un da sarayda kalmasına izin vermesi ile Musa Aleyhisselam Firavun’un sarayında büyüdü. Musa Aleyhisselam yanlışlıkla bir adamı öldürmesi sonucu Firavun’un kısas yapmak istemesi dolayısı ile Mısır’dan ayrılarak Medyen’e gitti. Burada Şuayp Peygamberin on yıl koyunlarını güderek çobanlık yaptı. Medyen’de kalan Musa Aleyhisselam İsraîloğulları’nı zulüm altında bulundukları Mısır’dan çıkarmak için Mısır’a giderken Tur Dağı’nde kendisine iki mucize ile birlikte peygamberlik verildi ve Firavun’a tebliğ için vazifelendirildi.
Firavun Musa (a.s)iman etmedi ve iman edenlere de zulüm ve işkenceler yaparak öldürttü.Musa(a.s) iman edenlerle birlikte Mısır’dan ayrılarak Kızıldeniz’e geldiğinde deniz ikiye ayrıldı fakat onları takip eden Firavun ve ordusu Kızıldeniz’de boğularak helak oldu. Musa Aleyhisselam İsrailoğulları’na iman etmeleri için uzun uğraşlar verdi ve birçok mucizeler gösterdi.
Onları imana davet etti fakat onlar çoğu kez nankörlük yaparak yoldan çıktılar. Allah Benî İsrâîl’den kötülükte kasten ısrar edenleri maymun şekline soktu, sonra da onları helâk etti. Musa Aleyhisselam-’ın 120 yaşında vefat ettiği ve Kudüs civarında defnedildiği rivayet edilir.
Hz Salih (s.a.v) Hz. Salih (a.s.) dağları ve yüksek kayaları oyarak inşa ettikleri görkemli evlerle ünlü Semûd Kavmi’ne peygamber olarak gönderildi.Onları hidayete davet etti. Fakat kavmi ona inanmadı ve puta tapmaya devam ettiler.Azgın bir kavim olan semud kavmi korkunç bir ses ve zelzeleyle helak olup gittiler.
Hz Hud(s.a.v) Allah onlara Hûd’u peygamber olarak göndermiştir. İlk Arapça konuşanın Hûd olduğu nakledilir. Sâlih ve Hûd Güney Arabistan’a gönderilen peygamberlerdir. Yemen’deki Ahkāf bölgesine giderek burada Âd kavmini hak dine davet etmişse de bir sonuç alamamıştır. Daha sonra kuvvetli bir kum fırtınası sonucunda helâk olmuşlardır .
Hz Şuayp (s.a.v) Hz Suayb (s.a.v) in Medyen ve Eyke kavimlerine gönderildiği belirtilmektedir Kur’an’da Hz. Şuayb’ın, kavmini Allah’tan başka tanrı olmadığına inanmaya, kendisinin peygamberliğini benimseyip sadece Allah’a kulluk etmeye, ölçü ve tartıyı doğru yapmaya, insanlar arasında adaleti gözetmeye, haksızlıkta bulunmamaya, bozgunculuk yaparak yeryüzünde fesat çıkarmamaya davet ettiği; Medyen kavminin Hz. Şuayb’ın yaptığı uyarıları dikkate almaması yüzünden şiddetli bir deprem, şiddetli bir ses ve “gölge günü” azabı ile yok edildiği bildirilmektedir.
Hz Lut (s.a.v) Kur’ân-ı Kerîm’de diğer Peygamberler gibi onunda salih bir Peygamber olduğu bildirilmektedir. Sodom denilen bir yere Peygamber olarak görevlendirilmiştir. Kavmine Allah’a karşı gelmekten sakınmalarını, kendisine itaat etmelerini, kadınlar yerine erkeklerle beraber olmalarının büyük ahlâksızlık ve günah olduğunu bildirmiş, bundan vazgeçmelerini istemiştir.
Fakat bu ahlaksız davranışlarından vaz geçmeyen Lut’un kavminin bir gece sabaha karşı bulundukları şehrin altı üstüne getirilir, üzerlerine balçıktan pişirilmiş, kat kat taşlar yağdırılır ve Lût’un kavmi Lt un karısı birlikte helâk edilir.
